Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is one of the most important processes in the manufacture of mechanical parts and tools. This changes the chemical composition and structure of the raw materials to be processed. PILLER offers a wide range of fans that withstand the high temperature requirements in steel, aluminium, glass and ceramics production. Our hot gas circulation fans are used in heat treatment processes as part of thermal processing equipment. High reliability and quality of all devices and components are decisive here.

The treatment of industrial waste water is an important building block on the way to more sustainable production. More and more companies have their own specialized plants to treat their wastewater - to meet environmental regulations or to reduce costs by recovering water and valuable materials from the wastewater stream and reducing the mass to be disposed of. This is often achieved in a Zero Liquid Discharge process in which our centrifugal blowers make a crucial contribution.

The production processes take place under high temperatures and loads, they are also characterized by aggressive media and difficult environmental and load conditions. Pulp & Paper

Pulp & Paper

The necessary fiber raw materials are produced in the pre-process of paper production. In the pulp and paper industry, the dryer section is not only the largest and longest part of a paper and board machine, but also very cost-intensive due to the high energy requirements. Our energy-efficient, high-performance blowers are used in many processes in the pulp and paper industry. For example, the black liquor produced as a by-product is evaporated using our high-performance fans to enable efficient combustion in the recovery boiler.

Sugar & Ethanol

Sugar & Ethanol

In order to become less dependent on fossil combustibles and fuels and to make a contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions, more and more markets are relying on the production of (bio)ethanol. This is mostly based on starting materials containing starch or sugar. Our machines are used both in the original sugar production process and in further processing, e.g. through distillation, rectification and dehydration. Our blower systems are installed, among other things, in evaporation plants for the concentration of stillage (Dried Distillers Grains with Solubles).

Waste Treatment

Waste Treatment

In waste treatment, for example, fly ash from municipal solid waste incineration contains significant amounts of elements that are processed to recover copper (Cu) or zinc (Zn). For example, fly ash water washing dechlorination (FWD) recovers both cement clinker and usable water and salt. Here our blowers have to deal with contaminated steam, the required high temperature increases and small mass flow range.
