PILLER MVR Training in Scotland

From August 8th to 9th, we held an exclusive MVR training in Scotland. The two-day event included a reference visit and tour at Chivas Brothers' Allt’A Bhainne distillery. Representatives from the distillery and other food & beverage end-users in the USA and Europe participated in the event.

The PILLER Team talked about our blower and compressor technology for mechanical vapor recompression and shared their know-how about implementing MVR technology into distillation processes. The exclusive Mechanical Vapor (Re-)Compression (MVR/MVC) training was led by Dr.-Ing. Oscar Sgrott, Senior Process Engineer at Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH.

At the Allt’A Bhainne facility, we explored how MVR has been applied as part of an enhanced integrated heat recovery system and proven to cut the distillery’s thermal energy requirement and carbon emissions by ~50%.

By mixing theory and live application, this event was a great opportunity for participants to gain a deep understanding of MVR technology and its role in shaping the future of distillery operations.

How to take part in a specific training event?

In response to the positive feedback, we are offering the opportunity to take part in an exclusive training event.
“The event in Scotland was not our first exclusive training event. The special thing here was the exchange about the project on site,” confirms Michael Leitsch, Head of Regional Sales EMEA at Piller Blowers & Compressors GmbH.

“At every exclusive seminar, we tailor the content and location to the participants. For example, it can also be an advantage to visit our production facility in Moringen or to visit possible reference projects at another location. Everything is matched to the requirements - just like our machines. ”
