The PillAerator: An excellent Idea
From more than 2000 applicants the PillAerator has been awared to be a "Selected Landmark in the Land of Ideas 2009". The Deutsche Bank and the initiative "Germany – Land of Ideas“ organise the event series since 2005; it is under the patronage of former Federal President Horst Köhler.
On October 16th 2009 development engineer Kofi Adomako received the cup for Piller. Walter Flecken from Deutschen Bank emphasised during the ceremony: „The energy-efficient turbo compressor sets new priorities for the biological wastewater treatment. It is innovative and trend-setting for a good eco-balance in Germany.“.
To celebrate the award, Piller held an open day. Several hundred visitors came to lern more about the company, the PillAerator and how a seemingly simply iron sheets becomes an industrial fan.
